Borderline personality disorder is a condition that may include mood instability and difficulty with interpersonal relationships often times, this includes tumultuous relationships and difficulty maintaining control over strong emotions.
Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is characterized by pervasive instability in moods, interpersonal relationships, self-image, and behavior. This instability often disrupts family and work life, long-term planning, and an individual's sense of identity.
The recommended treatment for BPD includes psychotherapy and DBT. Psychotherapy is the first-line treatment for BPD, and several forms of therapy, such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), have been studied and proven to be effective ways to alleviate symptoms.
