I am dedicated to recognizing and leveraging individual strengths to foster growth and healing. My path to becoming a therapist was far from straightforward, beginning with a Marketing degree from Ryerson University. After decades in the marketing field, I made the courageous decision to return to school and complete my master's degree in psychotherapy. Despite my inner critic's concerns about "wasting time" or being "too old," I now see that my diverse experiences have made me a more effective therapist.
I consider myself empathetic, creative, optimistic, and kind-hearted—qualities I bring into my practice. I adopt a client-centered approach, viewing my role as a collaborator in each client's journey. I emphasize emotional attunement during sessions, helping clients utilize their strengths to find solutions. Additionally, I incorporate various evidence-based practices and techniques, ensuring that therapy is both practical and compassionate.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and other modalities.
