I have seen through first hand experience the impact a strong therapeutic relationship can have on improving the quality of a person's life. As your therapist, I will explore concerns and worries you may have, gently challenge you as needed and keep you motivated in moving towards your desired goals. My therapeutic approach is one that is very client centred which means your voice matters during sessions and you will be playing a significant role in the therapy process.
I embrace diversity and uphold a non-judgmental anti-oppressive lens. I am naturally an optimistic person and therefore operate from a strength based lens. While I draw on many models of therapy, I tend to use solution focused, emotion focused and narrative therapy models. In addition, I incorporate elements of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) in my therapeutic approach. I am committed to working with my clients in finding an approach that is best suited to meet their needs. I offer daytime, evening, and weekend appointments in the office, online or over phone.
